1. What is a malformed file?
A malformed file refers to a file or directory that cannot be created, viewed, or deleted through normal operations, typically created by hackers.
In other words, we cannot manage these files through the file explorer and must resort to DOS commands to manipulate them.
2. What are the hazards of malformed files?
The first major hazard of malformed files is that hackers can store webshells in malformed directories. If administrators do not know how to delete them, the Trojans will persist indefinitely.
The second hazard is that they can cause abnormal data backup operations. When backup software traverses files, malformed files may trigger program errors, leading to backup failures.
